An agreement made in 2022 has ended as the NDP scrap deal with Liberals.
OTTAWA - The 2022 agreement to help extend the power of the Liberals has come to an end.
Earlier today NDP leader Jagmeet Singh ripped up the supply and confidence deal his party had shared with the Trudeau government. Several factors were mentioned on why this had to happen including failure to tackle corporate greed, and its inability to stop the Opposition party. The Conservatives are currently surging in the polls.
The announcement today comes less than a week after Tory leader Pierre Poilievre sent Jagmeet Singh a letter on why they should end this agreement. The Conservatives are asking for a fall 2024 election.
Singh has remained hopeful and says his party can defeat the Conservatives the next time Canadians head to the polls.
