A vehicle left the road and entered a tree line east of Delhi this morning.
DELHI - One person was taken to hospital with minor injuries after a single-vehicle crash east of Delhi.
It happened on Highway 3, close to Schafer Side Road, at around 8:20 a.m. today.
Norfolk OPP Constable Andrew Gamble posted a video about it on the OPP West Region X page about an hour later.
"Just to provide an indication as to how far this vehicle actually traveled, it left the roadway near the guardrails just east of our location, traveled along the shoulder of the road, and ended up in the tree line you see behind me here and it's actually being loaded up right now as we speak."
He says the driver was the only person in the vehicle at the time and Gamble thanked the off-duty firefighters who stopped to help.
Gamble says you should always be vigilant behind the wheel.
"This just goes to show, same as yesterday, that things can happen on bright, beautiful, and sunny days. That's why it's extremely important to always be aware of your surroundings, be extremely vigilant regardless of your destination, and regardless of what the weather and road conditions are like on any given day."
