The Catholic teacher's work to rule campaign has been suspended as a tentative deal has been reached with the province.
A tentative deal has been reached between the Ontario English Catholic Teachers' Association, the province, and the Ontario Catholic School Trustees' Association.
The details of the settlement are under wraps right now as they wait for ratification by OECTA members, but the work to rule campaign has been suspended during the ratification period. The only school to be affected by the campaign so far was Bishop Belleau in Moosonee.
OECTA represents 50 000 elementary and secondary school teachers across Ontario. They have been in a legal strike position since August 17th.
The big issues at play were data collection, workload, hiring and wages.
