WOODSTOCK - The Ontario Toy Show & Auction is coming to the Quality Inn in Woodstock.
The major eastern Canada event of over 30 years will be all back in person, beside the online auction that is now open, and will close on Thursday, August 25. The auction has over 400 items consigned.
Most of the items are diecast and farm-related, but Doug Vincent, Ontario Toy Show & Auction Coordinator says there is other memorabilia as well.
"There's a lot of related memorabilia items from Days Gone By, literature, manuals, giveaways from dealers to customers."
As for the toy show itself, it will take place on Sunday, August 27 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Quality Inn. People can come to buy, sell and trade toys, but there will also be all sorts of collector displays. The day culminates with the award show including a new award for best youth display.
There is also a room trading event on Saturday from 6-9 p.m. with free food while you socialize and wander the rooms.
The events help raise money for Woodstock Oxford Rotary Club. One of their projects has cost nearly $100,000 and it helps Australian farmers who lost their livestock due to bush fires.
