NORTH PERTH - A man from North Perth is facing drug trafficking charges after he was arrested in the Township of Minto.
OPP and the Huron-Perth Community Street Crime Unit seized a large quantity of methamphetamine from a car, where they also found cash and were both seized as stolen property.
Grey-Bruce Community Street Crime Unit OPP and Perth County OPP assisted with the investigation, which occurred on August 28th.
33 year-old Aaron Walsh was arrested and charged with possession for the purposes of trafficking methamphetamine and psilocybin.
OPP Huron-Perth Community Street Crime Unit executed search warrants the following day under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act at homes on Albert Avenue in North Perth, and on Minto Road in the Township.
They found quantities of methamphetamine and psilocybin, along with further offence related property and drug trafficking paraphernalia.
The estimated value of the controlled substances is $218,000, while the estimated value of the seized offence related property is $49,000.
