The Brant OPP seized over $100,000 worth of property in Scotland on Thursday including 23 firearms, three pickup trucks, and thousands of rounds of ammunition.
SCOTLAND - A 32-year-old man from Brant County is facing a list of charges after police seized more than $100,000 worth of items in Scotland.
Officers found 23 firearms and thousands of rounds of ammunition while conducting three search warrants on Jenkins Road on Thursday. They also seized three crossbows, three compound bows, three pickup trucks, three trailers, tools, gardening equipment, miscellaneous construction equipment, quantities of CDSA, and Canadian cash.
The charges against the 32-year-old include opioid possession, possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, unauthorized possession of a firearm, unauthorized possession of a weapon, careless storage of a firearm, weapon or prohibited device, and three counts of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
The Brant OPP teamed up with the Brantford Police Service for Project Challenger, a Controlled Drug and Substances Act investigation.
