The need for items at food banks is high, and Oxford MP Arpan Khanna wants to help.
OXFORD COUNTY - Food insecurity is on the mind of Oxford County MP Arpan Khanna.
Khanna is hosting a food drive and wants to make sure people in Oxford have what they need. He says how long the drive will take place.
"Oxford's a great place because we all come together to help one another. So, for the next week, we have a come fill the boardroom at my office."
Khanna has spoken with the food banks in the County and has heard they are in high demand for items, as more people need to use the service. He talks about where the donations would be going after the food drive is over.
"We'll see based on the amount of donations we get. I know Operation Sharing will be on top of our minds and others in the area as well."
Khanna says even if you can't make it to his office to donate, you can visit your local food bank and see what they need. He is hoping residents of Oxford can help support in whatever way they can through a tough and challenging time.
