Oxford OPP Briefs

OPP Briefs include a trailer park boys inspired theft of copper wire, driver charged after hitting a hydro pole in Ingersoll, attempted vehicle theft in Norwich and unlocked shed targeted in Ingersoll.

EAST ZORRA-TAVISTOCK - It looks like the trailer park boys are alive and well in East Zorra-Tavistock. 

Police say $6,500 of grounding copper was removed from an address on Oxford Road 33. The fence and gate, guarding the property was damaged to gain entry. The theft caused thousands of dollars in damage to the building. 

Members of the Oxford County OPP are continuing to investigate and are seeking the public's assistance with this investigation. If anyone has any information they are being asked to contact the Oxford County OPP at 1-888-310-1122.

INGERSOLL - Police have arrested a driver who hit a hydro pole on McKeand street on Friday afternoon. 

The crash happened on Victoria street and the driver was spotted leaving the scene of the collision. 

Investigating officers have since identified the driver of the vehicle and charges are pending.

NORWICH TOWNSHIP - Oxford OPP are investigating after an attempted vehicle theft on Main Street West in Norwich.

Police say the thief damaged the steering column of the vehicle trying to steal it on Sunday morning. Remember, if you see something, say something.  If you see suspicious activity or behaviour around your vehicle or neighbourhood, report it immediately.

Members of the Oxford County OPP are continuing to investigate and are seeking the public's assistance with this investigation. If anyone has any information they are being asked to contact the Oxford County OPP at 1-888-310-1122.

INGERSOLL - A couple of batteries and tools were stolen from an unlocked shed in Ingersoll. 

OPP say the theft happened on Noseworthy Lane last Friday around lunch time. 

Anyone with information is asked to contact Oxford OPP or Crime Stoppers.
