The Oxford County teams in the PJHL will all hit the ice this weekend. Teams are looking to work out systems as they gear up for the start of the regular season.
PJHL - It will be a busy weekend in the Provincial Junior Hockey League.
The Oxford County teams are hitting the ice for a full slate of games over the next three days.
Starting with the Norwich Merchants, they played last night (Thursday, August 24th) and skated to a 3-2 overtime victory against the Dorchester Dolphins. Next up, they will battle the Hagersville Hawks tonight (Friday, August 25th) at the Nor-Del Arena. Game time is 8 p.m.
Moving on to the Woodstock Navy Vets, they have two games on the schedule starting tonight (Friday, August 25th) as they welcome the Mount Brydges Bulldogs to Southwood Arena, with puck drop at 7:45. Tomorrow (Saturday, August 25th), the Vets take a trip to the Stratford Rotary Complex as they take on the Mitchell Hawks in an afternoon tilt starting at 2 p.m.
It is a light schedule for the Tavistock Braves, as they have one game. They welcome the Dorchester Dolphins to the Tavistock and District Recreation Centre tonight (Friday, August 25th) at 7:30 p.m.
Lastly, the Thamesford Trojans will see game action tomorrow (Saturday, August 26th) night for the first time this preseason. They will be on the road to the Komoka Wellness Centre to take on the Mount Brydges Bulldogs. The puck will drop at 6:30 p.m.
