WOODSTOCK - A 20 year old from BC has been charged with 2 counts of fraud in Woodstock.
Woodstock Police responded to Walmart yesterday afternoon after a man entered the store and attempted to purchase 4 $100 Visa gift cards. Constable Nikki VanLeeuwen is issuing a reminder to keep a close eye on your credit cards and to watch out for reading devices on gas pumps and bank machines. When caught the 20 year old had 54 credit cards totalling $8,000, Woodstock Police noted that more charges are pending.
WOODSTOCK - Woodstock Police had their hands busy this morning.
Shortly after 2am a 22 year old Woodstock resident was charged and arrested due to an incident that involved an investigation. The male suspect was released at 8am, upon leaving he damaged the payphone in the lobby of the police station. Police were able to re-locate the male who was arrested a second time and charged with mischief. While transporting the suspect back to the station he proceeded to smash the plexi-glass partition between the front and back seat of the police crusier that resulted in a second mischief charge. The damaged property is estimated at $1000, and the 22 year old is currently in custody awaiting his bail hearing.
