We currently have 4,791 active cases of COVID-19 in Ontario after the Province confirmed 554 cases this morning and 323 recoveries.
ONTARIO - The Province of Ontario has confirmed 554 new cases of COVID-19 this morning, bringing the total number of cases in the Province to 51,085.
The Province also confirmed 4 new COVID-19 related deaths today and the total sits at 2,844. Meanwhile another 323 people have made a full recovery, bringing the total number of resolved cases to 43,450.
The province completed 38,375 tests yesterday. Over half of the new cases come from four regions in Toronto, Peel, Ottawa and York Region. 62% of today’s cases are in people under the age of 40.
We currently have 137 COVID-19 patients in the hospital and 30 are in the ICU. Right now we have 4,791 active cases of the virus in Ontario.
