Reuseapaloozaha will takeover the Sweaburg Ball Park Pavilion tomorrow and the Innerkip Community Centre on Saturday May 3rd.
SWEABURG/INNERKIP - You know what they say; one man's trash is another man's treasure.
Reuseapaloozaha will takeover the Sweaburg Ball Park Pavilion from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. tomorrow.
Organizer Bryan Smith says it's a giant swap meet, so you can bring some items that you don't want anymore and potentially go home with something that someone else brought.
"So it's that aha moment that you have that says this is still useful to somebody and if I look around my house I probably got quite a few of those kinds of things that maybe I've used at one point but I'm not going to use them again but somebody else could. I'll take them, I'll bring them to the event, somebody else can take them home free."
You might find clothing, fabrics, books, toys, and kitchenware, but Smith adds some items will not be accepted.
"We know that children have fragile heads so we don't want to see any helmets or anything there because they are quite restricted. We don't want to see any car seats because we want to protect kids like that and even hockey helmets that would be for a teen or an adult, we want to protect their brains."
No items can be dropped off after 11:00 a.m.
If you can't make it this weekend, the Innerkip Lions Club will be hosting it's own Reuseapaloozaha at the Innerkip Community Centre on Saturday May 3rd. It will also run from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and it will follow the same rules as the Sweaburg event.
