The Oxford OPP is providing some safe winter driving tips after responding to several incidents on the roads this morning.
OXFORD COUNTY - It was a rough morning route commute for many drivers in Oxford County.
Oxford OPP Constable Randi Crawford posted a video on the OPP West Region social media pages shortly after 8:30 a.m. today
"I just want to remind everyone to please slow down this morning, we've already had many calls for service for motor vehicle collisions and vehicles in the ditch."
She also provided some safe driving tips.
"Please do your part and slow down and give yourself extra stopping distance when you're coming to an intersection or following a vehicle. You should also give yourself extra time to get to and from where you're going."
Crawford also told Heart FM that Plank Line was pretty slick between Highway 401 and Tillsonburg this morning, with officers responding to a two-vehicle crash and a vehicle in the ditch between 7:35 a.m. and 7:45 a.m.
We're supposed to get even more snow tomorrow, which could impact your weekend travel plans.
#OxfordOPP @OxfordCounty are encouraging motorists to #slowdown and give #extratime and #extradistance when driving in the snowy conditions. Please be extra careful driving today. Be safe & have a good day! ^rc pic.twitter.com/uTaMTNK87Z
