The Tillsonburg Optimist Club is hosting the Santa Claus Parade. It is taking place Saturday, November 18th starting at 6 p.m.
TILLSONBURG - It's the most wonderful time of the year.
The Tillsonburg Optimist Club is hosting the annual Santa Claus Parade on Saturday.
Parade Co-Chair, Holly Vallee says there will be something different this year.
"We opted to switch to a night parade this year, which is the first ever night parade in Tillsonburg. We have been wanting to do it for quite some time."
Vallee speaks to what can be expected.
"So far we have about 55 floats that are registered, and they are planning to come decorated, decked out in lights, and hopefully it is a great time for everybody."
She says there are lots of animals registered for the parade this year, and there will be lots of surprises through out the event.
Also, Vallee says the route will start to be blocked off at 5 p.m., and if there is any emergency vehicles that need to go by, they will stop and make sure the emergency vehicles can get by.
The parade will start at 6 p.m. and for more information you can go online.
