The Special Investigations Unit has cleared an O-P-P officer after a man he was chasing on foot suffered a broken jaw in Tillsonburg back in April. Investigators say the man was riding a bicycle without a light, cut across the street and rode through a stop sign. When the officer ordered the cyclist to stop, he sped up, then stopped and ran away. The officer ran after the man and they crashed into a fence. The man suffered a broken jaw. S-I-U director says there's no evidence the officer intentionally injured the man during what was a lawful apprehension.
