A 29 year old man from Stratford has been charged with robbery after trying to get his stuff back and assaulting another man in the process.
STRATFORD - A 29 year old man from Stratford has been charged with robbery after trying to get some his stuff back.
Police say the man entered the tent of a 31 year old in the area of Pine Street and Railway Street, because he though the 31 year old had taken a number of items from his shed. When he the 29 year old found the stolen items, he then beat up the 31 year old hitting him with the stolen items. The ongoing assault prompted witnesses to call police.
As a result, both males were arrested and transported to Stratford Police Headquarters. The 29-year-old male has been charged with Robbery, while the 31- year-old male has been charged with Possession of Stolen Property. Both individuals were released on separate Undertakings with the 29-year-old being required to attend court on November 9, 2020 and the 31-year-old being required at court on November 16, 2020.
