Woodstock Police arrested a man at gunpoint this afternoon on Norwich Ave.
WOODSTOCK - A man from Woodstock has been arrested and charged after police got a call about a man carrying weapons near a business on Norwich Ave.
Police say the 33 year old man was pacing back and forth in the drive thru and was carrying and swinging a hatchet on Friday afternoon. Police arrived at the scene quickly and arrested the man. He was still swinging the hatchet when police arrived and also had what appeared to be handgun in the waist of his pants.
Police arrested the man at gunpoint, he complied and nobody was injured. The weapon turned out to be a BB gun.
The man has been charged with weapons related offences.
