The Woodstock and District Developmental Services To Hold Ring Toss Competition

WDDS is holding it's second ring toss to raise funds for it's expansion.

WOODSTOCK - The Woodstock and District Developmental Services will be holding another ring toss to help offset the costs of their expansion campaign. The event will be held on March 12 at the Oxford Auditorium.

Their facility on Bysham Park Drive, which they have had since 1986, was in dire need of expansion. The campaign allowed them to expand and retro fit the inside of the building to better fit the needs of the people they work with.

Deb Roloson of the WDDS explains that although the game has a few names it is relatively easy and anybody can play.

"There's different names. There's Texas Horseshoes or Holy Board. It's very much a game that campgrounds and trailer parks might have, but it's the board that has three holes and each hole is worth a number of points. Five, three and one. You throw from opposite ends and the first team to twenty-one wins the game," said Roloson.

Roloson also said that the game is played in teams of two and that they are hoping to have 100 teams register. Each registered team will get at least four games.

Anybody body that wants to get involved is encouraged to call the WDDS or find the events Facebook page "Bring it to Ring it".
