There is a candidate in the mix to try to secure a spot on Tillsonburg Town Council in the upcoming election.
TILLSONBURG - A candidate has come forward for Tillsonburg Town Council.
Lindsey Mejaski was raised in Tillsonburg, moved away, but has since returned to raise her three young children. Mejaski is a small business owner and also serves on the Tillsonburg Minor Soccer board. She is heavily involved in the community and says why she decided to run for council.
"The biggest reason I'm running is because I really believe that it's important that council reflects the diversity and the population of our community."
Mejaski adds she has the experience raising a young family and would be honoured to bring that to the council table. She says what she would like to do if elected to council.
"I understand Tillsonburg is a growing community, but I want to make sure we're growing it in a thoughtful way, and we protect what makes our community special, but also planning responsibly for the future."
Mejaski mentions she is open to people reaching out to her about issues in the community, and is willing to have discussions with people to try to figure out solutions. She wants to bring a strong voice and listening skills to Tillsonburg Town Council.
Residents will head to the polls on Monday, October 26th, 2026, to cast their ballots.
