It's bound to be a hectic first day back to school on Monday, and even more-so in north Ingersoll where Laurie Hawkins Public School is opening for the first time. The town and OPP have been meeting for weeks to plan out how the flow of traffic and students will work, ideally. OPP Constable Michelle Murphy says a number of new no parking and no stopping signs are in place, and seven crossing guards will usher the students to their new school. But Murphy says they'll have to see for themselves how it all comes together. "As the OPP, we're going to be there for the first couple of days to ensure everybody is following the rules, following the signage, and also to ensure what we have is what needs to be done." Parents dropping off kids are asked to proceed with caution, and students are being urged to use the crossing guards that are in place for their safety. Crossing guards will be in place at the following intersections: -Wonham and Innes -Wonham and Bell -Bell and Thames -Bell and McKeand -Woodhatch and Ingersoll -Kerr and Ingersoll
