Woodstock Mayor Trevor Birtch and Spiderman will be riding the bus together on April 27th to help promote City transit.
WOODSTOCK - The Woodstock Spider Man and the Mayor are teaming up to help promote local city transit.
Woodstock Mayor Trevor Birtch and Spiderman will be riding the bus together on April 27th. They will be taking pictures with the kids and the Mayor will be happy to answer questions from local residents.
Birtch tells Heart FM it promises to be a fun day on the bus.
"We have talked about the use of active transportation as well as transit within the city and of course on the weekends you can see Spiderman going from event to event, and there is no better way to get their than by riding the bus. Together when we were talking we thought this would be a great to encourage families who maybe haven't ridden the transit to find the nearest bus stop to their house and get out for a ride. Coming up on April 27th we will be riding several routes and it will be a great opportunity for people to get out and meet Spiderman and see what the transit has to offer."
Birtch says it's a great chance for the kids to get to see Spiderman up close and it's a great chance for residents to express any concerns they have with the Mayor.
