A move for Zorra Township Council is coming. The current Municipal Building has been sold, and the move will take place in 2024.
ZORRA TOWNSHIP - The Township of Zorra has made a successful sale.
The Municipal Building property, located at 274620 27th Line has been sold to the Christian Farmers Federation of Ontario (CFFO) for $1,230,000.
Township Council went forward with the sale, as they are making a move into the new Zorra Township and Child Care Centre, which will be located in Thamesford. The sale happened two weeks after the property was listed and went above the asking price.
The CFFO is a professional organization for family farm entrepreneurs and will relocate after the sale of their current office in Guelph.
In a release, Zorra Mayor Marcus Ryan is quoted as saying, "When Council rezoned our office in anticipation of selling the site, we could not have picked a more suitable purchaser for the property. The office use is extremely compatible with the surrounding land use and adds a key agricultural support organization for the residents of Zorra."
The move for Zorra is expected in May of 2024, while the CFFO takes possession of the property on June 3rd, 2024.
