Members of Woodstock Police and the Woodstock Fire Department were called out to seven fire scenes in the north end of the city last night.
WOODSTOCK - It was a busy night for Woodstock Police and the Woodstock Fire Department.
Constable Jason Green says they were called out to seven small fires in the north end of the city last night.
"The residences around the courthouse area. We were notified by a homeowner in the area."
Green says someone was lighting garbage and recycling containers on fire.
"They're still under investigation. We believe the cause to be arson and mischief events. We don't have any suspects in custody."
Witnesses spotted two males fleeing the area. One was described wearing shorts and a sweater.
