People who are against the landfill will gather at St John's Anglican Church at 2pm for a Stomp the Dump Rally.
INGERSOLL - There is a Stomp the Dump rally happening today and it's geared towards those who are against the landfill coming to Ingersoll.
The rally is put together by the OPAL Alliance as they look to inform everyone about the current state of the dump process and let people know that it's not too late to stop it.
Mayor Ted Comiskey encourages residents to show their support.
"To have potentially over 18 million tonnes of Toronto or Greater Toronto commercial and industrial waste come to another municipality; who knows what effects it will have down the road on our children and our grandchildren."
Comiskey says they are hoping to fill the seats at St John's Anglican Church.
"We have a large room that is available in town which would be certainly 240 seats or so, we would love to bust that at the seams. If you have a heart on the fact that you don't want a landfill in Ingersoll then come on out."
The rally will get underway at 2pm.
