Early this morning, Oct 3, 2022, WPS responded to the area of Springbank Ave and Devonshire Ave for report of a possible person with a weapon.
Police have cleared the area. The investigation is ongoing at this time. Updates to follow when available.

WOODSTOCK - There's a heavy Woodstock Police presence in the area of Springbank Ave and Devonshire Ave.
Officials have confirmed that a police operation is underway in the area, and they're advising everyone to stay away and follow the road closures.
The Thames Valley District School Board has confirmed at Algonquin Public School will be closed today. Parents and guardians are asked to "check their child's digital platform at the beginning of the school day for learning activities." We have also received multiple reports that St. Michael's Catholic Elementary School is closed today due to the police investigation.
