Disney's Aladdin JR is set to hit the stage next month.
WOODSTOCK - Disney's Aladdin JR will be the latest play to be put on by K2K Productions.
The show tells the classic story about Aladdin, performed by their intermediate program from students in Grade 6 through 9.
Executive Director Jenn Belleth says they've worked with the students through the entire run.
"This group of students, they're in grades 6 through 9 and there is a pile of those kids that we walk alongside every single week through small groups, building relationships, building a sense of belonging in the program and the outpouring of that is this incredible show. So, yeah we're just really excited that the kids can have an opportunity to believe in something about themselves and actually achieve something more than they thought possible."
Artistic Director Brian Belleth says the students have invested a lot of time and preparation into creating a great performance.
"We have people; music directors, directors and professional choreographers that are coming in and investing in them and creating opportunity, and so they're very motivated."
Jenn says the show will also be performed for a couple of schools in early April before it is put on for the public.
Disney's Aladdin JR will run on April 5th, 6th at 7:30pm at the Calvary Church in Woodstock. They'll also perform on April 7th at 3:00pm. The show will run again on April 11th, 12th at 7:30pm and perform a matinee on April 13th at 3:00pm.
Adult tickets are $20.00 and tickets for students 13 years and under is $15.00. The public can purchase tickets online here and at the box office at 519-537-8080. Tickets will also be available for pick up at Hallmark Shoppe and All About Health Remedys Rx.
