Oxford County currently has 17 active cases of COVID-19 after another case was confirmed today in Norwich Township.
NORWICH TOWNSHIP - Southwestern Public Health has confirmed another case of COVID-19 in Oxford County in Norwich Township.
We currently have 17 active cases of the virus in the County. The numbers break down like this:
- 4 cases in Woodstock
- 4 cases in Blandford-Blenheim
- 2 cases in Norwich Township
- 2 cases in Tillsonburg
- 2 cases in Zorra Township
- 2 cases East-Zorra Tavstock
- 1 case in South West Oxford Township
Elgin County and St. Thomas currently has 13 active cases. To date we have had 54 confirmed cases since the pandemic started. 20 cases have been resolved and 4 people have died in the region. We have also had two institutional outbreaks at long term care homes, both in Elgin County. The first outbreak has been resolved and the second outbreak was declared yesterday after an employee at a long term care home in Elgin County tested positive for COVID-19.
