The public will gather inside the Oxford Auditorium for the 10th annual AppreSHEation awards tomorrow.
WOODSTOCK - The 10th annual AppreSHEation awards are happening tomorrow.
The award will be handed out at the International Women's Day Celebration inside the Oxford Auditorium.
Committee member Kathleen Campbell-Conlon says this year's event will also include 500 swag bags.
"This year, though, we have 500 bags. So previously we've had 100 bags and it's been a hot commodity. So this year we have 500 bags, so there is no need for you to have to come in a little bit early. 500 women are going receive these bags and we're so happy for all of our donors who have filled up these bags for people with little takeaways."
The ceremony tomorrow will see the AppreSHEation award honour one local woman, recognizing her contribution in the community through unpaid work. The event has been celebrating local women in the community for ten years.
AppreSHEation award sponsor Patricia Bonn for RE/MAX A-B Realty Ltd, Brokerage has been involved since the event began. She says it's important women support each other in the community.
"It was really important for me because I believe that women in so many ways try so hard to show what they can do for the community, and I just think that we should always be the ones that help to show other women what they deserve in life."
The ceremony will also include a free chili lunch, over 30 vendors and Heart FM's Sabrina Storm as the returning emcee. The event starts at 11:30 a.m
