It was a successful year for Perth County Auxiliary Unit's 2018 Food and Toy Drive.
PERTH COUNTY - The Perth County Auxiliary Unit made quite the impact in their food drive to help with the Salvation Army.
The 2018 Food and Toy Drives helped support of approximately 600 people families in Perth County. A total weight of over 1400lbs, which is 300 lbs more than what the unit collected from last year's drive, making it the most food they've ever brought in.
The donations were collected at the following locations:
- December 8th at the Valu Mart in Mitchell, they collected almost 800 lbs of food and $100 in cash donations.
- Also on the 8th of December, at the Zehr's in Listowel they collected around 700 lbs of food. And they also received $100 of cash donations.
- On December, 15th at the Walmart located in Listowel the public helped stuff 2 police cruisers full of toys. And they also were donated a whopping $465 in cash from the community.
