The public is invited to enjoy breakfast while listening to the Mayor of Ingersoll discuss the hot topics in the community.
INGERSOLL - The community in Ingersoll is invited to Breakfast With The Mayor.
The Ingersoll District Chamber of Commerce is organizing the annual event.
Mayor Ted Comiskey says it is a way to keep the community informed.
"It's an update. And it's certainly goes all the members of the Chamber of Commerce and other dignitaries that would like to attend, and what they will hear is an update on what's happened with the town over the years. Hopefully to say where we were and where we are right now, and hopefully to say where we would like to be over the next 12 months or over the next term."
The annual event will see Mayor Comiskey discuss what is happening in the community, which he has been attending for the past eight years.
He says he expects to hear people bring up different topics.
"I think certainly everybody is interested when it comes to tax situations, as far as how taxes are going to be laid out for this year, so that'll be interesting talks because it's very positive. They're very interested on economic development, on what lands and what industries are either coming to town or expanding, that's always an interesting topic. Certainly, they'd be very interested in the recreational centre, the multi-recreational centre that we're hoping to see developed in Ingersoll within the next few years and where it would be and how it would be structured, and what would be involved in that centre."
Tickets are $25.00 each and they can be purchased online.
The event is happening on April 3rd, going from 7:30am to 9:00 a.m.
