Gavin and Landon Woolcott started collecting toys for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Oxford County about two weeks ago and they collected lots of donations at the Bright Santa Claus Parade.
BRIGHT - Two young boys from Bright have launched their own holiday toy drive for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Oxford County.
Landon and Gavin Woolcott started collecting new unwrapped toys about two weeks ago. Landon is 12-years-old and Gavin is 11-years-old.
Their mother Kelly Woolcott says they enlisted some of their friends to help them collect donations at the Bright Santa Claus Parade on Saturday.
"They got their friends Zack, Serena and Ben O'Brian to help along with Mary and Lucas Arsenault and they ended up collecting three wagon loads full of toys just at the Bright parade."
She is very proud of her boys.
"Big Brothers Big Sisters is a wonderful organization and I'm glad that my kids could help the children, youth and families involved in their programs."
They're still collecting donations until Wednesday December 15th. Those interested in donating can e-mail Kelly Woolcott at rkwoolcott@gmail.com.
