Bullwinkle's Eatery has closed it's doors at the Moose Lodge Family Centre and will be looking for a new location.
WOODSTOCK - Bullwinkle's Eatery has closed it's doors at the Moose Lodge Family Centre.
Operation Sharing made the announcement on their official Facebook page yesterday.
"Operation Sharing would like to apologize for the abrupt closure of Bullwinkle's at the Moose Family Centre. We would like to inform our patrons that Bullwinkle's will be re-opening once a suitable location has been found. We also would like you to know that the "Free steak dinner" that is being advertised is not available at any location please be assured that Operation Sharing has nothing to do with this cruel joke!"
The eatery made National headlines when it first opened in 2016. The unique restaurant offers an inclusive environment for people in any type of social standing to share a conversation and a meal breaks down barriers between social classes. The team is taking an integrative approach by opening Bullwinkle’s to everyone in the community and creating an environment where people can share the experience. In the end, a new sense of community will be felt throughout Woodstock.
Chaplain and Executive Director at Operation Sharing Stephen Giuliano did not want to get into specifics at this time, however he did issue the following statement on the closure.
"We were not asked to leave, we made a decision to leave and we are very grateful to the three years the Moose Family Centre has provided us the space to run that Bullwinkle's program."
Giuliano says they are not looking to expand Bullwinkle's at this time, however he is looking to find a new location for the program. Bullwinkle's first opened it's doors to the public on March 1st, 2016.
