Team Canada won the gold medal at the World Junior Hockey Championship on Saturday, after beating Finland 3-2 in overtime.
EDMONTON - It was a close one, but everything worked out for Team Canada in the end.
The Canadians celebrated a 3-2 overtime win over Finland on Saturday, winning the gold medal at the men's world junior hockey championship.
Kent Johnson scored the game-winning goal for Canada. Mason McTavish was also named top scorer and tournament MVP in the end.
The women's world hockey championship will get underway in Denmark later this week. Oxford County's Ella Shelton and the rest of Team Canada will face Finland in a Group A matchup on Thursday.
