Woodstock City council will be going over their remuneration and expenses at council tonight.
WOODSTOCK - Woodstock City council will take a look at their remuneration and expenses at council tonight.
The Mayor currently makes $64,575 and after expenses and the money received for sitting on the Police Services Board he made over $83,000 last year. Trevor Birtch had the highest expense claim at over $12,000 but most of that can be attributed to the trade mission to Japan which cost over $7,000.
Councillors earn a base salary of just over $29,000, accept for Talbot who's base salary is over $31,000 because she serves as the acting Mayor. The highest councillor expenses listed was from councillor Lauder who spent over $1,700 attending conferences and seminars.
