The Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Toronto Blue Jays 5-4 in extra innings.
TORONTO - It was a heart breaking end to the World Series for the Toronto Blue Jays.
Toronto was leading the best-of-seven championship series 3-2, but suffered a 3-1 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers on Friday. This forced a Game 7 in front of a sold out crowd at Rogers Centre on Saturday.
Bo Bichette hit a three-run home run to give Toronto the lead in the second inning. Will Smith scored for the Dodgers in the fourth inning, and Mookie Betts made it home in the sixth to bring the score to 3-2.
Andres Gimenez doubled to deep right centre field to bring Ernie Clement home in the sixth inning, giving the Blue Jays a 4-2 gap. However, Max Muncy homered in the eighth and Miguel Rojas homered in the ninth to tie the championship game at 4-4 and send it to extra innings.
Will Smith homered in the 11th inning to give the Dodgers a 5-4 lead, and Alejandro Kirk grounded into a double-play to end the game.
It was a magical ride with all of you.
