Oxford Public Health wants to speak with the owner of a dog who bit a cyclist in Burgess Park.
WOODSTOCK - Oxford County Public Health is investigating a dog biting incident at Burgess Park.
A cyclist was riding in the park when a dog bit his ankle on Tuesday afternoon between 3:30 and 4 p.m. The dog is described as a full sized black dog with a bull nose. It was being walked by a woman in her 50's who was about 5'5 inches tall. The woman and cyclist spoke briefly but did not exchange contact information.
Public Health wants to make sure the dog is caught up to date on all of their shots, otherwise the victim might have to go under rabies treatment.
If you are the dog owner, or have information about this incident, please contact public health inspector Allison McIntosh, extension 3454.
