Drugs and other property was seized from an address on Highway 19 in South-West Oxford. As a result, two Ingersoll residents have been arrested and charged.
SOUTH-WEST OXFORD - A search warrant was executed in a joint effort with the Oxford OPP Community Street Crime Unit, and four other CSCU's.
The search took place on Wednesday, November 2nd at an address on Highway 19 in South-West Oxford.
There was quantities of suspected fentanyl, methamphetamine, Canadian currency, drug paraphernalia and other property seized.
Police say the items have an approximate value of $9,000.
As a result, 39-year-old Nicholas Darbishire and 43-year-old Renee McLellan both of Ingersoll have been charged with Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of a Schedule I Substance - Opioid, and Possession of a Schedule I Substance - Methamphetamine.
McLellan is also facing a charge of Personation with Intent to Avoid Arrest, Prosecution or Obstruct (Identity Fraud).
Both accused remain in custody and are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock on November 6, 2023.
