OPP are warning drivers that several roads are closed in Port Dover, Turkey Point, Long Point and Port Rowan due to flooding. Police are asking local residents to not drive around road closure signs for everyone's safety.
NORFOLK COUNTY - The Flood Warnings came Sunday, urging for residents and cottage owners along the shoreline of Lake Erie to get out before the winds took over the region, making flooding conditions even worse.
Gale-force winds took over the region yesterday and The Environment Canada Marine Forecast is calling for it again into today as well.
OPP say several roads are closed in Port Dover,Turkey Point and Long Point due to the flooding. Police are asking local residents to not drive around road closure signs for everyone's safety.
Police are also asking cottage goers to stay home while they get things under control in the area.
Those who can’t leave shoreline areas are advised to shelter in place and to avoid walking or driving through flooded streets.
Conditions will be re-evaluated today.
