Spring is here, and Oxford County is reminding everyone that they are still offering large item pick up across the region, the service has not been cancelled. Collection has already began in Ingersoll.
OXFORD - Due to the pandemic, people are wondering if the county large item pick up is still happening.
Oxford County will continue to collect oversize waste, however there are some things to keep in mind before putting your items out to the curb. They ask that you set out your items on your property by 7am on the Monday of your scheduled collection week.
The Maximum weight of any item can not exceed 100 lbs. Bag tags are not required for the item pick ups, however it is important to note that regular household garbage & recycling will not be picked up by this crew, it is for large items only.
They will not pick up any household appliances like washers, dryers or stoves. However, mattresses are an acceptable pick up item, as are other furniture like tables and chairs.

The City of Woodstock offers large article pick-up several times throughout the year, and the Town of Tillsonburg operates a year-round transfer station to receive large articles.
The County is reminding everyone that the landfill isn’t the only option for their items, Many items can be donated after the pandemic restrictions, they can be sold, or upcycled.
