With the efforts to establish a Bingo Hall in Woodstock, the local Lions Club is reminding residents of their Thursday night Bingo. It's run each week, starting at 7:30PM at the Woodstock Legion. John Pond is the bingo Chair, and says they get 50 to 80 players each week. Here's what he had to say about the prospect of a new bingo in town cutting in on their game. "We have a fairly loyal crowd that's been coming there and has been showing up at that bingo. It's kind of a family atmosphere. They show up and meet and greet. So, I don't know if it (new parlour) would be a big risk to us." Pond says after their licensing fees, they still make a good profit the Lions reinvest in the community.
