A 49 year old man from London has died after falling off his boat and drowning in Lake Erie while fishing with friends last night on Lake Erie.
PORT BURWELL - A 49 year old from London has died after drowning in Lake Erie last night.
OPP, EMS and the Coast Guard were called to a report of a possible drowning around 7:10 pm between Port Bruce and Port Burwell.
The man was fishing with friends when he fell off the boat and into the water. He was pulled from the water and taken to land, where he was rushed to the hospital.
Life saving measures were initiated by friends and continued by paramedics, however he later died in hospital.
The deceased has been identified as Ryan Leppard Groenewegen of London.
