If re-elected, Luciani wants to push to keep the downtown vibrant and review emergency services, but will support any suggestions that could improve the town.
TILLSONBURG - A lifelong resident of Tillsonburg is running for re-election.
Pete Luciani is just finishing up his first term as a councillor, and he's very happy with the state of the town.
"My platform is very simple in the fact that I'm not running on change. I am proud of where this Council has moved the town over the last four years. When I look at growth for instance, our growth is over 17% from the last census. We're one of the fastest growing communities in Canada."
Some of the things Luciani has accomplished over the last term include bringing in the splash pad and replacing the waterslide, setting in motion the upgrades that are soon coming to the Tillsonburg Community Centre, and overall continuing to bolster Tillsonburg's already strong quality of life, although Luciani was insistent that these accomplishment's are instead the town's.
If re-elected, Luciani wants to push to keep the downtown vibrant and review whether the emergency services can support the town's growth, but will support any suggestion that could make Tillsonburg a better place.
The municipal election is three weeks away, on October 24.
