Stratford Police officers will have a new boss starting on October 8th.
STRATFORD - The City of Stratford Police Services Board has appointed a new chief of police.
Stratford native Greg Skinner will start his new role as Police Chief for Stratford, St. Marys and Perth South on October 8th. Skinner has been working in policing for the past 31 years and most recently served as the OPP Director of Operations at the West Region Headquarters in London.
Skinner started his policing career in 1987 at the Essex Detachment. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and has deep roots in Stratford where his family still lives. One of his uncles is former Stratford Police Chief Joe Hartung who retired from that position in 1988.
Stratford's Acting Police Chief Gerry Foster has also been selected as the City's new Deputy Chief of Police.
