At least 19 kids and two adults have died after a gunman opened fire at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas yesterday. The heavily Latino community is located about 135 kilometres west of San Antonio.
The gunman was 18-years-old. He targeted students in grades two, three, and four before he was fatally shot by law enforcement.
It has been almost a decade since the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut. The shooting killed 20 kids and six adults on December 14th, 2012.
U.S. President Joe Biden says it calling for new restrictions on firearms, adding it's long past time for America to act.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says he was heartbroken to hear about the Robb Elementary School shooting. He says Canada is grieving with our American friends.
