Members of the OPP auxiliary unit will be collecting donations for local food banks.
OXFORD - The OPP auxiliary unit is gearing up for Operation Full Plate.
Members will be stationed at grocery stores across the province on Saturday in order to collect non-perishable food item donations for local food banks.
The Oxford County drop off location is at the Sobeys in Tillsonburg, located at 662 Broadway Street.
Auxiliary Staff Sergeant Matthew Manor says is at the heart of what they do.
"Service doesn't always look the same. Sometimes it's supporting frontline officers, sometimes it's helping at a community event, and sometimes it's making sure a neighbour has food on their table. Operation Full Plate reflects what our Auxiliary members have always been about: showing up for their communities when it matters."
You can find the complete list of drop off locations online here.
