It will feature over 70 local vendors who specialize in physical, mental, and financial health.
WOODSTOCK - The Your Health is Your Wealth Expo is back for another year in the Friendly City.
It's going to takeover the Oxford Auditorium this Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with more local vendors specializing in physical, mental, and financial health.
Local mortgage agent Shannon Woolley says the inspiration for this event came from a book she read last year.
"Studies say that mental health, physical health, and financial health are very related. When one pillar is affected, typically all pillars are affected."
From there she decided to partner with Kristen Stewart, who is the Personal Training Manager with GoodLife Fitness. They considered hosting a seminar but decided that an expo with vendors was the better course of action. Last year's event consisted of 35 vendors at Goff Hall, and they had a waiting list for more vendors interested in participating.
With the bigger venue this year, more than 70 local vendors will be on site this Saturday. Stewart says a decent amount of them specialize in physical health.
"From the physical component, we have a wide variety of people that are there for it. We also have MacroNutrition and lots of really great places that are bringing some yummy snacks as well. So if you have an appetite while you're there, you'll be able to benefit from some of those vendors too."
The Your Health is Your Wealth Expo is free to attend and each vendor will have something to give away. There's also a $500 Visa gift card door prize up for grabs.
