WOODSTOCK - The Oxford County Junior Farmers have donated $5,000 to the VON Oxford to help support their Adult Day Program.
VON's Adult Day program offers seniors and adults living with a disability a nice meal along with fun activities in a safe and caring environment. Manager of Fund Development Catherine Dorais-Plesko says they are really happy with the donation.
Last year, VON Oxford had 9,450 Adult Day Program visits and the programs are offered in Ingersoll, Tillsonburg and Woodstock. John Goodbun, Chair, VON Oxford Community Corporation wanted to give a big thank you to the Junior Farmers as well.
"It’s wonderful to see the Oxford County Junior Farmers coming forward to help seniors and adults living with a disability in
our community."
President of the Junior Farmers Luke Ward says they were happy to help such a worthy cause.
"Oxford County Junior Farmers is proud to donate $5,000 towards VON Oxford in support of their commitment and dedication to provide for the community. As Junior Farmers' motto is ‘building rural leaders through self help and community betterment’, VON's adult day program aligns with these values as they help improve the quality of life for older adults within our community."
