Oxford OPP Briefs

OPP Briefs include a wanted man wandering on the side of the 401, two people from Ingersoll arrested on warrants from Hamilton and a stolen SUV set on fire in Zorra Township.

BLANDFORD-BLENHEIM - Oxford OPP have arrested a man they found walking on the side of Highway 401 in Blandford Blenheim Township. 

Police say the man was walking on the highway last Friday morning around 4. 37 year old Mark Moschuk was picked up on the strength of several warrants.

INGERSOLL - Oxford OPP have arrested two people from Ingersoll who were wanted on a couple of outstanding warrants in Hamilton. 

Officers arrested the pair last week. They were wanted for property related offences in Hamilton. 

58 year old Vladimir Sulug and 53 year old Christina Paquet were both arrested on the strength of the warrants and turned over into the custody of Hamilton Police.

ZORRA TOWNSHIP - Oxford OPP were called out to the 41st line after a vehicle was set on fire in Zorra Township. 

The 2012 Ford Escape was fully engulfed in flames when crews arrived last Wednesday afternoon. Turns out the SUV had been stolen from the Waterloo area. 

Two people were spotted fleeing the area in a white Ford F-150 pickup truck. The suspects stole that F-150 from a rural home in Zorra Township. It was later recovered in another jurisdiction. 

  Oxford County OPP are asking any witnesses to contact Police or Crime Stoppers.
