The Woodstock Navy Vets beat the Paris Mounties 3-2 on Friday but fell to the Wellesley Applejacks 4-2 on Saturday.
PJHL - It was a busy weekend in local Junior C hockey action.
The Woodstock Navy Vets celebrated a 3-2 win over the Paris Mounties at Southwood Arena Friday night. Patrick Holloway scored with only two minutes left to secure the win. Woodstock also fell to the Wellesley Applejacks 4-2 on Saturday. The Vets were down 4-0 after two periods but scored two goals early in the third period.
The Tavistock Braves crushed the Hespeler Shamrocks 6-1 on Friday, while the Norwich Merchants suffered a 7-3 loss to the New Hamburg Firebirds.
Meanwhile in the Yeck Division, the Thamesford Trojans fell to the North Middlesex Stars 5-4 on Friday and crushed the Port Stanley Sailors 4-1 on Saturday.
