A 10 year old child got sick at the Southside Park Skate facility on Saturday after ingesting edible marijuana. The kid had accepted jujubes/cookies laced with cannabis from another kid at the park.
WOODSTOCK - A 10 year old child got sick at the Southside Park Skate facility on Saturday after ingesting edible marijuana.
Woodstock Police are warning parents to remind their children not to accept any food or candy from strangers after a child became sick at the skate park on Saturday.
Police say the kid became sick and lethargic after accepting jujubes/cookies believed to be laced with cannabis from another kid at the skate park. This happened around 4:00 pm in the afternoon.
The child is now safe and in good health.
Safety Tips:
· Remind children not to accept any food or drink from strangers – regardless of the stranger’s age.
· Store all cannabis products in a safe place that children cannot access.
